A Reformed Evangelical church · Stellenbosch

A family gathered by God's grace, in the heart of Stellenbosch.

We're ordinary people learning to love God, his word and his church. Our mission is to carry his good news to our town and the world. Wherever you're starting from, there's a place for you here this Sunday.

Sundays · 9:30 for 10:00 · Hello Work, The Woodmill, Stellenbosch
Why we gather

It all centres on Jesus.

At the heart of everything is the good news that God, rich in mercy, rescues people who could never rescue themselves. Jesus lived the life we couldn't, died the death we deserved, and rose again so that anyone who trusts him is able to call God father and welcomed home for eternity. That grace is why we exist - and why we'd love for you to discover it for yourself.

Sundays

One church, gathering each week.

Our service runs about ninety minutes on Sunday mornings where gospel-centred singing, prayer, and expository preaching straight from the Bible can be expected. We welcome seekers and first-timers. Come exactly as you are β€” no dress code, no pressure, and someone at the door will be glad to help you find your way.

After the service

Stay for coffee — we mean it.

Some of the best parts of church happen after the last song. Stick around for good coffee, something to eat, and unhurried conversation. It's the easiest way to meet people, ask the questions on your mind, and start to feel at home.

What we believe

Standing on old, solid ground.

We're a historic church, shaped by the recovery of the gospel at the Reformation. Five short convictions — the "five solas" — still anchor everything we do.

Sola Scriptura

Scripture alone

God has spoken, and the Bible is our final word for faith and life.

Sola Fide

Faith alone

We're put right with God by trusting Christ, never by earning it.

Sola Gratia

Grace alone

Salvation is God's free gift — his doing from first to last.

Solus Christus

Christ alone

Jesus is the only Saviour, and he is more than enough.

Soli Deo Gloria

To God's glory alone

It's all his work, so it's all his praise.

Our people

Led by shepherds, shared by the whole family.

Our pastor and elders carry real responsibility to teach, guard and care for the church under Christ. But ministry isn't theirs alone — every member has a part to play in the life of this family.

Get involved

Church is a family, not a venue.

We share life well beyond Sunday. Through the week we gather in smaller groups to open the Bible, encourage one another and pray. Tap a gathering below for times and places.

Our heart for the nations

The gospel, to the ends of the earth.

We believe God's glory is meant to reach every people, for the joy of all nations — and that he has placed us here, in this town, at this time, for the advance of his kingdom. So we share Christ with our neighbours and friends, we pray for those taking the good news further afield, and we give and send, longing for people who have never yet heard the name of Jesus to come and know him.
